Amended early morning trains between Reading and Newbury on Sunday 9 August

Engineering work is taking place between Reading and Theale, closing various lines on Sunday morning.

Long distance services:

The 08:04 London Paddington to Penzance will depart earlier at 07:53, and will divert between Reading and Westbury (via Swindon – not calling). It will not call at Newbury or Pewsey. You should instead travel on the 08:44 London Paddington to Penzance service as below.

The 08:44 London Paddington to Penzance will depart earlier at 08:34, and will call additionally at Newbury and Pewsey.

Local services:

The 08:06 Reading to Newbury will not run. Earlier road transport at 07:51 from Reading to Newbury calling all stations except Newbury Racecourse (connecting at Newbury with the 08:33 Reading to Bedwyn service, see below).

The 08:33 Reading to Bedwyn will start from Newbury at 09:02.
