Buses replace trains between Dewsbury and Halifax on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September

Engineering work is taking place between Dewsbury and Deighton, closing some lines.

Northern:

Saturday:

Trains between:

Leeds and Manchester Victoria (and beyond) via Dewsbury: Trains will be diverted to run via Bradford Interchange and Halifax, and will not call at Cottingley, Morley, Batley, Dewsbury, Mirfield and Brighouse.

Leeds and Bradford Interchange via Dewsbury and Brighouse: Trains will not run.

Leeds and Chester: Trains towards Leeds will not call at Earlestown. Trains travelling towards Chester will call as normally advertised.

Buses will be provided between Dewsbury and Halifax, calling at Mirfield and Brighouse.

Sunday:

Trains between:

Leeds and Halifax via Dewsbury and Brighouse: Trains will not run.

Buses will be provided between Dewsbury and Halifax, calling at Mirfield and Brighouse. Services are available between Leeds and Dewsbury, and between Leeds and Huddersfield, operated by TransPennine Express.

TransPennine Express:

Saturday and Sunday:

No TransPennine Express train services between Dewsbury /Leeds and Huddersfield. TransPennine Express will operate as follows:

Saturday and Sunday:

Trains will run between:

  • Hull and Dewsbury
  • Redcar Central and Dewsbury
  • Newcastle and Leeds
  • Scarborough and York
  • York and Leeds
  • York and Wakefield Kirkgate
  • Huddersfield and Manchester Airport
  • Huddersfield (via Todmorden) and Manchester Airport
  • Huddersfield and Liverpool Lime Street

Rail replacement buses will operate as follows:

Saturday and Sunday:

  • Dewsbury and Huddersfield
  • Wakefield Kirkgate and Huddersfield
