Amended late night / early morning trains between Reading /Newbury and Bedwyn from Monday 12 to Friday 16 October

Engineering work is taking place between Newbury and Bedwyn, closing all lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

Monday to Wednesday:

  • The 21:57 Newbury to Bedwyn will not run and will be replaced by earlier road transport at 21:55 from Newbury to Kintbury, Hungerford and Bedwyn
  • The 22:25 Bedwyn to Newbury will not run and will be replaced by earlier road transport from Bedwyn to Hungerford, Kintbury and Newbury. It will connect at Newbury with the 22:47 Newbury to Reading service
  • The 22:30 London Paddington to Bedwyn will start from Reading and terminate Newbury. Road transport from Newbury to Kintbury, Hungerford and Bedwyn. Customers from London Paddington travel by 22:28 (departing 22:30) London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads as far as Reading to connect with the train
  • The 22:47 Newbury to Bedwyn will not run, and will be replaced by road transport from Newbury to Kintbury, Hungerford and Bedwyn
  • The 23:17 Bedwyn to Reading will start from Newbury at 23:34. Earlier road transport from Bedwyn to Hungerford, Kintbury and Newbury to connect into the train. ALSO road transport at 23:35 from Bedwyn, Hungerford and Kintbury setting down only at Newbury, Thatcham and Reading

Buses serve railway stations (forecourt / car park / entrance) except at Kintbury which is at the Level Crossing by Station Road.

Monday to Friday:

  • The 05:31 Bedwyn to London Paddington service will terminate at Reading. You can use other train services between Reading and London Paddington at no extra cost
  • The 22:30 London Paddington to Bedwyn service will start from Reading. From London Paddington, you can travel at no extra cost on the 22:28 (departing 22:30) London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads as far as Reading to connect with the amended train
