Buses replace trains between Basildon and Leigh-on-Sea and also between Stanford-le-Hope and Pitsea on Sunday 4 October

Engineering work is taking place between Basildon and Leigh-on-Sea and between Stanford-le-Hope and Pitsea, closing all lines.

Replacement buses will operate between:

  • Basildon and Leigh-on-Sea
  • Stanford-le-Hope and Pitsea

A shuttle train service will run between Leigh-on-Sea and Shoeburyness

Trains are further affected and are diverted to start / terminate at London Fenchurch Street.

Passengers with a valid ticket can use London Underground Jubilee line / Docklands Light Railway services between West Ham and Stratford (London).

London Fenchurch Street is a short distance from London Liverpool Street.

Season ticket holders can use Greater Anglia services at no extra cost between London Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria (including Romford for travel to / from Upminster).
