Buses replace trains between Rugby and Stafford on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October

Engineering work is taking place between Tamworth and Stafford, closing all lines.

Avanti West Coast:

All weekend, no trains will be able to run via Nuneaton, the following amended service will be in operation:

  • 1 train per hour will run between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street via Birmingham New Street
  • 1 train per hour will run between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly via Birmingham New Street, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent and Stockport
  • 1 train per hour will run between London Euston and Glasgow Central via Birmingham New Street (calls additionally at Crewe)
  • 1 train per hour between London Euston and Glasgow Central or Edinburgh via Birmingham New Street
  • North Wales Coast services will run between Crewe and Wrexham General / Holyhead only

Your ticket will be accepted at no extra cost on the rail replacement bus service between Rugby and Stafford operated by London Northwestern Railway.

On Sunday, the 23:24 London Euston to Wolverhampton, will be diverted from Stechford via Aston / Bescot to Wolverhampton, not calling at Birmingham New Street. A replacement bus service will be provided between Birmingham International and Birmingham New Street.

London Northwestern Railway:

Train services between London Euston / Northampton and Crewe will run between London Euston / Northampton and Rugby only (to a slightly amended timetable, trains may depart London Euston a few minutes earlier and arrive at London Euston a few minutes later).

Rail replacement buses will run between Rugby and Stafford. Passengers are advised to travel on alternative services between Stafford and Crewe.

Lumo:

There will be no Lumo service between London Euston and Stirling all weekend.
